Internationally
successful
Over the past 40 years, HAGE has grown into an internationally successful company. Many products in the automotive, rail, construction, and aerospace industries are manufactured using HAGE special-purpose machines. In China, bumpers for cars are produced; in Austria and Switzerland, railway carriage components; in Saudi Arabia, pipe bends for pipelines; and in Germany, tanks for rockets.

machine engineering
HAGE begins
In 1982 Gerfried Hampel begins the HAGE success story in a classroom of the former school building.
New factory opens
Thanks to constant growth the old school building becomes too small. HAGE moves to a new building at the current location.
Factory extension & introduction of a CAD programme
The new factory kicks off new growth. Soon more space is needed, and in 1988 and 1989 two new factory sheds for machine assembly are built. A new CAD-CAM is a quantum jump for the design department.
ISO-CERTIFICATION EN ISO 9001
The ISO-certification formalizes that HAGE complies with international standards – a must for the company which is now globally active
Development of the HAGE Matic Processing Centre
The first prototype of the HAGE Matic processing centre for aluminium and steel sections is built. Continuous further development and improvement of the product group begins.
A new generation takes over
The brothers Stefan and Florian Hampel follow in their father’s footsteps and take over the technical and commercial management of the company.
Entry into the East Asian market
By now HAGE has projects all around the world. Following delivery of machines to North America, HAGE Matic becomes a springboard to the Far East.
Development of the HAGE Cut product group
A new high-tech saw cutting system is developed. For automated saw cutting, deburring and punching of a wide variety of metal sections and geometries across a wide range of angles.
Friction stir welding
HAGE recognizes the huge potential of friction stir welding (FSW). Development of a hybrid processing centre for inhouse research and contract manufacturing begins.
HAGE turns 30
Just as HAGE is celebrating its 30th anniversary, the company lands its biggest order to date. A total of four HAGE Matic machines are delivered to Russia, where they will be used for processing rail carriage components.
The way into the aerospace industry
Behind many products of the construction industry, the automotive industry and the railway industry there are HAGE solutions. A specially designed FSW machine for fabrication bulkheads was HAGE‘s way into the areospace industry.
Launch into a new dimension
The first HAGE industrial 3D printers are created in 2014 based on the vision of a HAGE development engineer. They will go on to become successfully established in the market.
Board of management grows
Due to the rapid and successful development of the company, Stefan and Florian decide to bring in a third managing director. Peter Freigassner joins the management board as a technical director.
More production space: building of factory 2 begins
In spring 2019 ground is broken for a new factory. It will provide additional space for assembly of large machines and the industrial 3D printers. Growth also leads to an organizational rearrangement. The HAGE3D department is spun off as a separate GmbH under the leadership of Thomas Janics. Both companies remain in the ownership of the Hampel family
Factory 2 and the new technology centre open
The new factory 2 has come into operation. Moreover the new technology centre is being build.
