Production Line for Tension Struts in EV Batteries

For the paired production of tension struts as aluminium connecting elements in electric vehicle batteries, HAGE realized an automated production line.
01 / 05

Aluminium extruded profiles with an initial length of approx. 6 m are processed into finished parts with lengths from 514 to 940 mm.

The profiles are inserted, automatically inspected, sawn, brush-deburred and then laser-marked. High-precision punching is performed in a 1,250 kN hydraulic press. A simple changeover system for precision punching tools reduces setup times. After measurement, cleaning and final inspection, a robot packs the finished tension struts into customer-provided workpiece carriers.
