FSW System for Rocket Cylinder Segments
For the production of highly loadable cylinder segments for rocket tanks, HAGE realized an FSW system in column-type design.
The system combines milling and friction stir welding processes in a dedicated machining head and is designed for welding forces of up to 80 kN. This enables high-strength aluminium alloys to be welded reliably.
The system supports the precise production of tank structures for space applications and combines high process forces with controlled FSW process management.
